Has your job or career been directly impacted by the recent cuts to U.S. foreign aid? Are you feeling lost in this job market and unsure what to do next?

If so, join us on Friday, April 4th for an interactive, guided reflection session designed to help us reconnect with ourselves and our purpose.

Amid the current chaotic environment and changes in the international development sector, many of us have been left disheartened, unmotivated, and unsure about our careers and ourselves. While there are many useful sessions out there providing advice on CVs, interview prep, and other career tips, these often don't speak to the deeper questions or anxieties many of us are carrying. This session is designed to offer something different: a space to pause, reflect and explore.

Through practical coaching tools and guided reflection, we’ll explore how to begin finding renewed purpose, well-being, and creative joy — and take meaningful next steps in our careers.

Whether you're in the midst of a career transition, feeling burned out, or simply craving space to reflect, this session is for you.

The session will be led by Catalina Quintero, a certified leadership coach and leader in the conflict and peacebuilding field.

About the facilitator:

Catalina Quintero is a conflict prevention and peacebuilding expert, leadership coach, and facilitator with 19 years of experience in fragile and conflict-affected environments. She has led multi-million dollar projects, shaped strategy and policy, and worked with global organizations like the World Bank, USAID, Search for Common Ground, and worked with philanthropic donors, regional bodies like CILSS and IGAD, and governments, across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.

Catalina is a former World Bank staff member and spearheaded the WB's first fragility and conflict assessment, now used worldwide and led more than 20 assessments, stakeholder consultation processes, and negotiations. She has also worked on the Prevention and Resilience Allocation (PRA) window and the Window for Host Communities and Refugees (WHR) with country governments and led the then one-of-a-kind Pastoralism and Stability in the Sahel and the Horn of Africa Project (PASSHA).

Prior to the WB she was a key contributor to the negotiation process between the FARC and the Colombian government and worked on the reintegration of ex-combatants in Colombia. A seasoned speaker and trainer, she has led 30+ trainings, workshops, and panels on various topics including leadership, stakeholder engagement, and peacebuilding. Recently, she worked with USAID's Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization on the Women, Peace and Security Strategy consultations and WPS 101 course development, and coached all FO staff, Directors, and their deputies on leadership and DEI integration.

Cataline is also the founder of Coachiva, a consulting firm specializing in executive coaching, strategic advisory, and training programs on leadership, DEI, and conflict resolution. Catalina’s deepest belief is that peace in the world can only be achieved through first finding peace in oneself.
