From Rhetoric to Reality: How INGOs operationalize DEIJ, decolonizing aid, and shifting power (BNID Members Only)

Join BNID for an important conversation on how INGOs are operationalizing their commitments to values like diversity, equity, inclusion, justice (DEI), decolonizing aid, and shifting power. 

We've witnessed a sector-wide emphasis on DEIJ and shifting power over the past few years, but much of the hard work remains to translate this rhetoric into reality. What does it mean for organizations and professionals to live these values and put them into practice?

Our guest speakers (and fellow BNID members) will share their ongoing efforts, showcasing concrete examples of how they are advancing this work: 

• Sebastian Molano from Oxfam America will share the process and the steps Oxfam has taken to translate its commitments to feminist principles and intersectionality in reality. 
• Rosanna Niosi from Build Health International will discuss the development of BHI's inclusive language and messaging guide and how the guide has been used in recent campaigns.

This session will inspire us to reflect on how we can advance these important values in our organizations and daily work.
